AKATEK, a technical thread and fabric manufacturer, is a subsidiary of Kıvanç Group, serving the industry since 1980. Kıvanç Group's main fields of activity include Personal Protective Equipment, Technical Textiles, Engineering, and Mining. AKATEK specializes in producing heat and flame-resistant protective clothing for various industries.
Our headquarters are located in Istanbul, while our factory is situated in Antalya, covering 20,000 square meters of open space and 10,000 square meters of enclosed space. At our ring yarn production facility in Antalya OSB with a capacity of 10,800 spindles, we produce predominantly flame-resistant technical threads with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons. Additionally, our 8 state-of-the-art Itema weaving machines produce 1 million meters of technical fabric annually.
AKATEK is a certified organization with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) certifications. Our threads and fabrics also hold the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certificate.
Furthermore, in early 2022, we installed a solar energy system on the roof of our factory, allowing us to turn our face towards the sun. In addition to our leading position in the Turkish market, we export our threads and fabrics to European, Azerbaijani, and North American countries. We take pride in representing our flag in 12 countries.
